Rimmel- Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick Review

Oh my goodness, I finally have brought two new lipsticks ! I actually went to university with zero lipsticks (can you actually believe)! Since I have brought a MAC one but that was for nights out. I wanted a lipstick for the day and a classic red because every girl needs a red lippy!

I am forever browsing Instagram for the latest things and two lipsticks kept cropping up, the Topshop brand and the Rimmel- Kate Moss brand. TIP: I recently went on the Topshop website sale pages they had a lipstick on there reduced from £10 to £1... Sounds a massive bargain right?! Erm well, this proves to me that Topshop are completely over pricing their makeup. In actually fact it's not the cosmetics themselves that are 'absolutely amazing in quality' it's just the pretty little monochrome design and the 'Topshop' label than entice people to buy it. Topshop must be buying the lipsticks for less than £1 to make some profit in the sale and they're selling them for £10, making over a £9 profit on each sale- scandalous  Please don't go for their make up full price it's an absolute rip off... try and hunt around for it in their sales, you'll be saving yourself a heap of money! RANT OVER! (:

Anyway, I decided to try the Rimmel- Kate Moss selection. I feel as though the Rimmel are upin' their game and getting some decent, lasting products on the market! I purchased the 111 Kiss of Life from the matte range and the 05 (not sure of the name) from the standard range. Both of these were £5.49 each.

I wanted to see how long the lipstick stayed on my lips for, so one day I tried it out. I applied the 111 using a lip brush at around 5 o'clock. I checked up on it at a train station at 8 o'clock, the colour wasn't as strong but it was still on there. Between those times I had drank and eaten 2 chocolate bars (that was my tea, lols). Anyway, for a just shy of £6 a lipstick it's pretty impressive that it had managed to stay on for 3 hours! It was still on when I came to take my makeup off that night but obviously it was very worn at this point! I cannot generally believe how long lasting this is!

The down side to this product is there isn't a wide variety of colours, which is a shame because it is such a fabulous lipstick. I think the tube itself is pretty, Rimmel haven't made a massive effort to tattoo their brand name all over the place, it's different to see it discreetly placed on on the tube with a brief 'Kate' signature. I think this gives it a classy, expensive look. I do hope that this line really takes off and Rimmel begin to introduce some more colours!

Overall Rating: 4/5 I love these lipsticks but obviously the lack of colours is a let down.
Feel: Not greasy, light and they dry quickly.
Smell: It just smells neutral, no cheap makeup smell to them like some other lipsticks.
Use: Everyone knows how to put a lippy on!
Value for Money: They're not a real bargain but for the quality I think they're perfectly priced.
Would I purchase again: Although I love MAC lipsticks I think these work just as well, for less than half the price I would definitely buy a couple more.
